This is our last bracket race before we head to Oklahoma for the Western Conference Finals.
We decided to do test-n-tune Friday night to give the boys some extra seat time. It was so fun, we miss Friday night racing!
Collin took the win in the Sportsman class. It was his first win – he’s had a few runner ups, but he was very excited to get the win. Below is video of the final round.
Carson also had a great night. He runnered up in the Modified class.
Oklahoma here we come!
Bracket Race #2 – Texas Motorplex
Carson and Collin both entered Quick class and Carson ran in Mod and Collin ran in Sportsman. This was Collin’s first time to be entered in the Quick class. He needs more seat time to work on that tree. 🙂
This bracket race was a struggle for both boys. Collin got the bye 1st round of Sportsman, but was way off his dial, running too fast and lost 2nd round.  He red lit !st round of Quick.Â
Carson could use a little tree practice too! 😉 He lost 1st round in both classes.
We always say – every pass matters and there are lessons learned all along the way. We’re still having fun and enjoying the time we spend together as a family. That’s the BEST part! <3
Our 2nd bracket race (well actually 1st since the official 1st race was rained out) at Texas Motorplex.  Carson ran in the Mod and Quick classes and Collin ran in the Sportsman class. Carson made it to round 3 in Mod and round 2 in Quick. His car was pretty consistent but he struggled on the tree. Collin lost 1st round, but had a perfect light his 2nd time trial. I guess he got too confident and turned it way red 1st round. 🙂 Always learning and every pass matters.
Saturday, April 9, 2016 found CMR Boys at Texas Motorplex for the first bracket race of the 2016 season. Collin made test passes in February, but this was Carson’s first outing for 2016 sporting his new paint job and testing his newly freshened up motor.
We were able to get both time trials in and 1st round of eliminations for Sportsman and Mod, but got rained out before we could run quick. Carson won 1st round, Collin did not.
